My diary at SIAL.
SIAL 2025!
As someone passionate about both food and packaging, I discovered some truly remarkable products and designs from around the world.
After three days at SIAL β without needing to worry about packing a lunch π β I thoroughly enjoyed the food, the people, and the incredible conversation.
As someone passionate about both food and packaging, I discovered some truly remarkable products and designs from around the world, including:
- Canadian dry cheese thatβs shelf-stable and perfect for on-the-go snacking
- A rich onion balsamic chutney from the UK that left a lasting impression
- Ready-to-eat chicken from Korea in retort packaging with a 12-month shelf life
- Asian tea packed in a folding carton that looks like a poetry book
- Greek pickled olives with postage-stamp-inspired labels
- Single-serve olive oil packs β convenient and mess-free
- Sriracha hot sauce in a squeeze tube designed to get every last drop
- Canadian soft cheese paired with apple juice or maple syrup β an unexpectedly delightful combo
- And a new innovation from Quebec: a carrot cake sandwich β creative, fun, and full of potential
The packaging was as captivating as the flavors β with vibrant colors, thoughtful structures, and storytelling-inspired designs.
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with brands from Germany, Italy, Turkey, France, Greek, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Korea, China, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
I arrived at the show hungry, and left perfectly full.
